All Walks Of Life

My lovely GF has been on top of me keeping up my posts lately so I should thank her that this is up. This is what I think an 1800's version of those creepy people in the city, who carry around snakes would have looked like. Usually they have no shirts on though, where this chap is very well dressed. Getting back into photoshop grabbing tips everywhere I go. Keep checking the post to see me progress.

Sir Smokes A Lot

This is one of those drawings I always seem to come back to. I am always playing with different styles and influences and this one just really has something I think is worth exploring again. I like all the patterns and textures and warmth. Done in Molskine with chartpak and a RSVP pen and some color pencils. I'll post others I've done that are similar to it soon.

Cheers, JJR

King of Everything

When I was a kid I thought I was King of everything, And who was going to tell me I wasn't. You put on that paper crown and you prance around waving your Grandfather's cane telling the dog to bow to the king. Man have I lost a lot of power since then. Or maybe not...

Dressed Fresh to Death

My idea for this one was that if a skeleton were to be reanimated it would have to be moved by another living thing, like a plant. Of course he would look quite dapper too, cause thats how we do.

Lipstick goes a long way

Not sure what to write about this one. Simple and to the point.

IGNITE & KABOOM

Here are some characters I came up with, Kid Kaboom & Lady Ignite. I see them as a young modern Bonny and Clyde, together till death which they welcome and laugh at.

The Working Dead

Here is a quick drawing I did recently. I decided to add some photoshop. I haven't used photoshop in a few months and definitely feel rusty. A lot of the artists I have been inspired by lately (Jim Mahfood, Ted Mckeever, Skottie Young) don't use much Photoshop so I have been kind of working on my ink skills to feel like I measure up. I wear a shirt and tie to work every day but I like dressing up, I wish I lived in the 20s when layers and accessories were part of everyday wear. I feel bad for those who feel trapped in work attire. I say, take the opportunity to look sharp not sad.
